LEROY DIAS DOS SANTOS

Throughout his career Leroy has had the pleasure of meeting and working with prestigious people such as HM The Queen, Prince Charles, Jermaine
Jackson, Stevie Wonder, Jason Statham, Will.I.AM, Jessie J, Madonna, Kylie Minogue, Leona Lewis, Sugababes, Aston Merrygold and choreographers such as Jermaine Brown, Rafael Bonachela, Shobana Jesaysingh, Mavin Khoo and companies such as The English National Ballet. After graduating in 2007, he performed in theatre productions such as 'Carmen Jones' (2007) at The Royal Festival Hall, 'La Traviata' (2007) and 'Aida' (2008) conducted under The Welsh National Opera. He is also a member of the street dance sensation Flawless, who were finalists on ITV’s ‘Britain’s Got Talent’ (2009). They featured in movies such as ‘Street Dance 3D’ 1 and 2 by Vertigo films (2009) and have currently been touring their theatre production ‘Chase the Dream 2’ (2018-2019) across the UK and internationally.
As well as performing, he has also had the opportunity to choreograph and collaborate with Susie Mckenna on ‘Mandem On The Wall’ Live Show at Hackney Empire (2015) and ‘Macbeth’ with Twist Theatre Company (2015-2016), ‘Hosea’s Girl’ (2015) a Hip Hop spoken word play written by Anastasia Osei- Kuffour.
Leroy is currently based at Middlesex University and IRIE! Dance Theatre teaching urban/hip hop social dances, contemporary technique and choreography. He has also had the opportunity to work with different dance institutions such as Urdang Academy and Roehampton University, which have all played a significant role to his teaching.

LOUISE KELSEY

Louise is a movement practitioner and choreographer who specialises in artistic collaboration. Her creative practice has been shared internationally at multitudinous companies and institutions including The Place, Unfold Motion (Romania), Dance East, Loyola University (USA), University of Bedfordshire, Middlesex University, plus in school, community, and care settings. Louise is co-founder of Bucks Youth Dance Company, established in association with Buckinghamshire New University and in partnership with Young Creative Bucks. 
Personal choreographic highlights include: Purcell’s Dido and Aeneas in collaboration with The Baroque Collective and BBC singers for the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee; Frames and Shapes, commissioned for Timișoara, European Capital of Culture 2021 Festival; plus WHATEVER which was selected to represent the Dance East region at U.Dance National Festival 2022. Working under the direction of Lesley Main, Louise has re-staged repertory by Doris Humphrey including Two Ecstatic Themes which she performed in the UK and USA between 2014-2016.
Louise’s research with Dr Lise Uytterhoeven is published in the Research in Dance Education Journal and her writing about dance careers can be found in the One Dance UK Education Bulletin. Louise has participated in One Dance UKs ‘Dance Teaching Mentoring Programme’ and the Royal Opera House’s ‘Creative Learning Practice Programme’, receiving creative mentorship from Jasmin Vardimon Company, Studio Wayne McGregor and MÓTUS. 
Louise holds a First Class BA (Hons) in Dance Performance, Masters in Choreography, and PGCHE. She is a qualified Arts Award Advisor and yoga teacher, specialising in yoga for children and yoga for long-covid, burnout and CFS. Louise is passionate about the transformational power movement has and is committed to facilitating exceptional creative and cultural experiences for all.

SARAH SULEMANJI

Sarah Sulemanji is a dancer, movement practitioner and lecturer based in London, United Kingdom. Her interest lies in movement languages as a form of self expression and communication and her work is grounded in improvisational methods and Graham-based dance practice. 

After completing professional training at The Martha Graham Centre in NYC Sarah began lecturing at Middlesex University in 2010 where she has taught dance technique, repertory and creative practice. Throughout this time she has been involved in a wide range of collaborative projects with schools, dance companies, and community organisations. More recently Sarah has begun making connections in her local area of Southall and has set up Our Moving Stories CIC, a community focussed company looking to empower people to engage in new ways with movement practice. 

Sarah enjoys collaborating with others across contexts and artistic disciplines, particularly with people who would not usually have the opportunity to experience Dance. She thrives on sharing her practice with emerging professionals who offer insight into the many directions dance can take in a 21st Century setting. Sarah holds a First-Class Honours degree in Dance Performance, an MA in Professional Practice, and a PGCHE, an enhanced DBS Certificate and is a member of the Foundation for Community Dance.

CHRISTOPHER TUDOR

Christopher Tudor, Programme Leader BA Dance Performance and BA Dance Practices, senior lecturer in dance technique.  He holds an MA with distinction in Contemporary Dance and is a member of the Higher Education Academy. Christopher has a long career as a professional dancer working with London Contemporary Dance Theatre, and was a founder member of Richard Alston Dance Company, later becoming rehearsal director for the company. 
As a choreographer he has worked in a variety of different media; theatre, site-specific, film and television, and has directed and choreographed several operas.  His community dance work includes projects for Community Dance Wales, Glyndebourne Opera and Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment.  His research into dance for mature dancers led him to work on several projects with older participants: Company of Elders at Sadler’s Wells Theatre, Open Age at English National Ballet and Mercury Movers at Rambert.  Christopher has taught at many of the vocational dance schools in the UK, including London Contemporary Dance School, Royal Ballet School, English National Ballet School, Tring Park School for the Performing Arts, London Studio Centre and Central School of Ballet.  He has been a regular guest teacher for Rambert Dance Company, National Dance Company Wales, Scottish Dance Theatre, Michael Clark Company, Alexander Whitley Dance Company, Wayne McGregor|Random Dance and Phoenix Dance Company.  He has been the recipient of several awards: Cosmopolitan/Scholl Young Dancer of the Year (1984), Paul Clarke Memorial Award (1985), Laurence Olivier Award (1994) and Royal Philharmonic Society Award (2014).  He recently created choreography at Bundesjugendballett, the apprentice company at Hamburg Ballett, for their production BJB Meets Shakespeare, and is currently preparing to direct his fourth Handel opera, Tolemeo, for St John’s Smith Square, London.
