MATILDA FOREMAN

Matilda Foreman's dance education started in 2005 when they took their first ballet class at the age of three, from that moment she was hooked. The passion stayed with her throughout her schooling in Germany, where she trained in a variety of disciplines including ballet, jazz, tap, modern, contemporary and hip hop. She then attended The Duke of York's Royal Military School where her academic dance education continued, and she was afforded the opportunity to sit formal dance examinations and perform in many productions. Matilda volunteered each year in the co-curricular programme and knew she'd found her path/ Matilda says it taught her first-hand how teachers can connect and inspire. This was reinforced at Middlesex University; she says she has loved her dance journey here, the training and education have been truly outstanding. A highlight for Matilda was representing MDX at the Move It exhibition - so exhilarating! Whilst Matilda is extremely passionate about dance, she is also enormously motivated to make a positive difference to children's lives and education and help them reach their full potential. Matilda is really looking forward to her next chapter as a trainee primary school teacher at Ark Franklin Primary Academy.
