MARTA GUERRA DOBLAS

Marta Guerra Doblas is a dance artist, creator and facilitator based in London. Marta’s choreographic work has been awarded first place in the Andalusian Choreographic Contest twice, first in 2018 with the piece "Cuarteto de Cuerpo”, in which Marta co-choreographed and performed, and then again in 2020 with the self- choreographed solo "De cuando me equivoque de bar". Since moving to London in 2020, Marta has produced and choreographed both stage and screen dance pieces: “When life gives you lemons...”, 2021, “Sobremesa”, 2022 and “EASY CARE”, 2022. In addition, Marta’s creative practice has involved movement direction for the play “Like there’s no tomorrow” performed by the ArtsDepot Young Company for NT Connections 2022, as well as creative assistant and videographer for “Wet Bit of Sand” by Teresa Skamletz as part of Resolutions 2022 at The Place.
Marta’s experience in facilitation has been developed both in Spain and the UK, when undertaking roles such as Senior Student Learning Assistant (Middlesex University), Teaching Assistant (Professional Conservatoire of Dance, Malaga) and other learning support and facilitator roles in higher, vocational and secondary education settings.
Currently Marta's creative practice is executed parallelly to her practice as a facilitator, supporting and assisting creative learning environments, promoting collaborative creation and developing her own individual practice.
